Today we left for my birthday weekend. It was a surprise to me! Jay made reservations at a cottage, within walking distance to a private beach! We arrived late afternoon. Cyrus played in the cold, cold ocean, I snapped away, and enjoyed the peacefulness of the crashing waves. We went back to the cottage to eat, then went back to the ocean for more fun, and got lucky and caught the end of the sunset. Perfect night with my family!

Happy Birthday, Mom! Wish we could celebrate with you, instead we got ice cream cones, and sang you happy birthday. I'm sure you had one rockin' party. I love you.

Cyrus insisted on walking to the marsh about a mile or so away from our house. I told him that where ever we walked to, we had to walk back. He was very confident that he could do it. Proud to say he did, he moaned and groaned on his way back, but he did it!! :o)

I was so focused on capturing the top dragonfly, that I never even noticed the small blue one, how cool is it that I captured his shadow? I love photography, and all its little surprises!

We were walking along and this little leaf caught my eye, it was so mesmerizing. Anyone know what it is?

Tried my hand at making sushi rolls. Cucumber, avocado sushi rolls to be exact! They weren't the prettiest, but they sure did taste good!

Finished planting our vegetable garden. Cannot wait to harvest!

Today was so busy, went out for breakfast just me and my little, ran errands, went and got haircuts, more errands, picked Daddy up from work and then went and met Tess and her family for a spur of the moment beach trip. Honestly, never used my big camera, I used my phone for most of the day, so I'm going to share a self portrait I took of myself after the hair cut!
