Spring has sprung, or has it? We awoke to everything iced over, while it was beautiful, I'm so done with this weather! I need sunshine, flowers, mud, flip flops, shirts, shorts and long summer nights!

Today marked 18 years since I last saw my Mom. I would give anything to have one more hug from her, or for the chance for Cyrus to just have one hug! Today was a rainy, dreary day and while we usually make it the ocean to celebrate her (it was her favorite place!), we didn't this year. I'm hoping to go in the weeks ahead, its mentally cleansing for me! I hope you're proud of the woman, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend I've become. I love you, Mom! Rest easy!

We went to visit our long lost friends....and meet the new addition to their family! Loved having some baby snuggles! I'm sure I'm that annoying friend with a camera sometimes, so I only spent 5 minutes playing around with the camera, and put it away and just enjoyed our time together!

Today, Jay and I celebrate 11 years together. (Yes, we are high school sweethearts!) As I wrote the title of this post I said, how strange is it that today is day 143 and its meaning is I LOVE YOU and its our anniversary! What a weird coincidence! I had many intentions of capturing a photo of the two of us, but the day got the best of me, and that didn't happen! We had a relaxing morning, but a very busy afternoon. So you get a shot of Cyrus' haircut, it looks painful, I swear it wasn't! She took way too much off, and I'm not exactly happy with the end product, but thankfully hair grows, and quickly for him!! (Its much shorter than the picture!)

We had a really busy day, and I just didn't pick up the camera! I'm sharing a picture I took awhile back, that I'm just not sure what I think about. Some days I like it, some days I don't.

We are on the hunt for Frozen figurines, and can't find them any where. After our hunt we went and grabbed dinner at Applebee's. It was a fun night out with my boys. I think Cyrus was a little embarrassed I brought the camera out. That shutterbag sure is making photo ops in public very convenient.

I've been craving my Dad's fresh farm eggs but those hens just aren't laying. I miss the deep yellow yolks, and the fluffiness. I had told my mother in law, and a friend of hers had surprised her at work with a dozen of her hens fresh eggs, and she gave them to me. I was so excited! They sure were tasty!

I saw these amazing birch tree picture holders on Pinterest, and knew I had to have them! I tried to burn one, and I just didn't have the patience and it came out horrible. Jay tried, and of course, succeeded. How cute are they? Can't wait to make more! (I know the background is horrible, and is crooked...I did my best! Next time I will use a background without lines!)

We stopped over Jay's parents house in the morning so we could use the shop for a project I'm working on, keep an eye out for that blog post! She gave the boys new Carhartt hats, they have a safety yellow obsession, if you didn't know. Then we spent the afternoon celebrating Cohen's 8th birthday, and we ended the night have an early St. Patrick's Day dinner with my parents! All in all it was a great Sunday!

Tried my hand at an out of focus shot....way harder than it looks. I just felt like they didn't make sense, however I did want to share and get some feedback...

I wasn't entirely impressed with my shot for the day, so I spent the afternoon driving around looking for sap buckets, and I finally found them, I was so happy! So many people stared at me as I climbed gigantic snow banks to get to these trees....I'm so happy I finally photographed them, I've been meaning to for years!

Today was a long, long day... While at the grocery store I decided to pick up some Ben & Jerry's that was on sale...so Cyrus suggested we all climb into his big bed and eat in there...I needed a picture for the blog, and they couldn't say no when I was tempting them with yummy goodness!

Cyrus and I were in the car for most of the beautiful Tuesday, so we spent what was left of the afternoon soaking up the sun rays, breathing in the fresh air and jumping in puddles!

Beets, eat yo' beets! We ate ours! Even my big guy who complains about EVERYTHING, liked them! Little man like the softer, and not so roasted ones. Hey whatever floats your boat, at least he ate them, right? How do you like your beets?

Had a pretty busy day, and left the camera at home...so I wasn't really sure what my photo was going to be! After slicing up our fruit for the week, I decided to snap that... Nothing too exciting...The poor mango could be a little riper, but I couldn't wait to slice!

It was a gorgeous day out, the snow fell all day long and it was truly beautiful. The moment I saw the snow fall and all the beautiful snow flakes within each cluster I knew I had to try and get a snow flake shot! I was really wishing I had a macro! I did my best, while its no where sharp or perfect, it is all I could do with the equipment I had!

Little man did dishes for me again tonight, and obviously played in the water too! I misplaced my expodisk so the white balance was horrendous...Thank goodness for lightroom, but it would have been so much better to not have to play with it!

Today was the best Sunday we've had in a long time! I spent my morning finishing up my editing for the birthday I shot last weekend and then we spent a good 2+ hours hiking in the woods. We explored a trail we've never been down, and I got some really great ice shots! You should have seen me trekking through 3 feet deep snow, laying down to get certain shots...it was a little crazy. I may have fallen in a the brook a time or two...shhh! The detail in ice is AMAZING! I was kind of missing my Dad though, he brought me out to a brook on his land last year, to capture the ice with him. I'd never shot it before, and felt kind of guilty he wasn't there with me. Those are still some of my favorite images I've ever taken! Great memories!
