I enjoyed my new apple cider candle today, courtesy of the S family. They gave me the candle and a new owl candle holder as thank you for the photo shoot last weekend! :o)

I had to run around this afternoon and kicked myself when I didn't bring my camera along for the ride. I saw so many opportunities to snap, and I couldn't.  When it reached 8 o'clock and I had yet to photograph anything, I was scratching my head. The Halloween lights (no I haven't taken them down, yes I am a slacker) and guitar in my sons room gave me hope! ;o)

 Worked on some leading line shots today. I just love others shots of leading lines, they are truly an inspiration! I have a long ways to go, thankfully I have 49 weeks to perfect them! ;o)

Yes, my first late post. Hopefully its my last! It was such a chaotic day, I had so much to do and by the end of the day I wasn't up for the blog. I did take my picture, just didn't post!

I have a shoot on Saturday with my favorite twins, so I set up my set up today and fooled around. Cyrus wasn't very cooperative, so I used what I had!

Two weeks! I've successfully made it fourteen days! Only three hundred fifty one days to go, or fifty weeks. I think I can, I think I can! I woke up today wondering what I was going to photograph, I asked a friend, she gave me some suggestions, and I while I didn't use them today, I will another day! Today, I practiced self portraits. They're not easy. Nailing exposure and focus is really hard, I can't wait to try again and hopefully do better!

Little one requested a snack while I was prepping dinner. I keep forgetting we no longer have daylight past 4:30 around here, so I prepped his snack went outside and created this....

We did a little pond jumping, after I scoped out a location for an upcoming shoot! He quickly regretted it once his boots were filled with water and he was freezing. Thank goodness for woodstoves and warm cars! ;o)

Went to visit my Dad and decided to photograph this old hound dog! He's been in our family for over 10 years. He's always barking, while it drives us crazy now, when its gone, it will be missed!

One week! I've successfully picked up my camera, created the shot, edited and posted it for one week! Only 51 more weeks to go!

I got four hours to myself today, so I headed to the mall and hit up the sale at JcPenney's and Victoria's Secret! I finally have my outfit for our Christmas pictures, that I plan to do this weekend, hopefully! I picked up a very tired little boy from his grandparents, and realized I had forgotten to take my picture for the day. I shined my flashlight from my phone onto his face, cranked up the ISO, and snapped this.....Needless to say I just made him grumpier....

 

Horrible picture, I know! I promise tomorrow I'll do better!

 



So I got Cyrus out of the car, came back out to get the bags from the car and the motion light just happened to be illuminating all the fallen oak leaves on the ground, so I grabbed the camera and snapped this...

 

 

Yes, another day of 2 images. Will I ever be able to do just one?!

I was headed out the door to run a few errands, when I decided to head back in the house and grab my trusty ol Nikon. It was 2 and I had snapped a few pictures but nothing I really wanted to share. I figured while I was out and about I would find something worth capturing. I reached the bottom of the stairs and Cyrus told me he had found me a special leaf from a maple tree, I smiled and told him I thought it was perfect but that it was actually an oak leaf, when I went to grab it from his hands I saw the sweetest shadow to my left.....

 

 

 

So thankful I had my camera with me to capture this sweet little moment!

Two, again. I hope everyone is getting used to my indecisiveness, because I'm not sure much is going to change around here! Tucker posed for somewhat of a split lighting image, and Cyrus just happened to be playing in his rice box in some very dramatic lighting. Yes, he's naked, he always is. I get him dressed every.single.day. yet his clothes never stay on him.
